While in California recently, I met up with the Yenne family. The weather was beautiful and we headed to the Malaga Cove Plaza for a fun family portrait session. Andrew was a doll! He loved being in front of the camera and playing with his parents. Thanks to the Yenne’s for a great portrait session!

Last week, I posted pictures from the Durrer family portrait session taken at an amazing abandoned house.  The Durrer kids did such a good job (and are so stinking cute) that they get their very own post!

The Durrer family and I go way back.  Laura and I have known each other since we were babies. So when Laura asked me to take their family portraits I was thrilled. We immediately started brainstorming locations. In route to our original location, we drove by an abandoned house that was calling my name. It was perfect!

Inside the house, someone had spray-painted a hot pink heart…LOVE it!

I recently spent some time in Colorado with family. One of the nights there I took some portraits of my sister in-law and her son. Here is Part 2 of the session…

After spending some time in the field, Stephanie, Bennett and I headed over to this lovely blue door for some more shots. They had a great time laughing and tickling together!

Stephanie, besides being a high school English teacher, is also an artist. She specializes in watercolors, pen & ink, mixed media and photography and has really beautiful work. Check out her website here. These cards were her Christmas gift to me last year. LOVE them!

This past week I traveled to Colorado Springs to visit with family. The weather was wonderful! One of the days I was up there I had a chance to take my sister-in-law Stephanie and her three year old son Bennett’s portraits. I found a lovely section of tall wavy grass at a nearby park and fell in love. (Arizonians, brace yourselves, there is a lot of GREEN.)

I was introduced to the Kalinas by a current bride of mine….they are her fiance’s brother and family.  The Kalinas met up with me one afternoon at Freestone Park with their 3 month old son, August. Aren’t they the cutest family?

I absolutely had to take some pictures of just mom and dad :)

Yesterday I headed over to downtown Tempe to shoot portraits along with some photographer friends of mine. I normally shoot all my portrait sessions alone, so it was definitely a change to shoot alongside five other photographers! I had such a blast working with them all and I hope we get to meet up again soon. I want to say thank you to Hailey and Brandt (our models) who were a pleasure to work with! Here are my faves:

Ami and I headed to downtown Tempe last week to take her senior portraits. She is such a beautiful girl!

Lily is 6 months old and was such a sweetie! She fell asleep part way into the session, and I snagged some pictures of her sleeping…so precious!

A couple weeks ago I shot some promotional photos for the Christian band, Reign Down. They have a great sound, and are releasing their new EP shortly.
